I LOVE what I do.
For as long as I can remember, I have loved makeup. As a little girl I recall sitting on the counter watching every move my mom made when she applied her makeup. I was so in love with the process. But that wasn’t my true first passion. Dance was. My parents put me in dance class at age 5. The rest is history. I began competing and performing my heart out for twenty more years. I became the makeup artist to everyone I knew; from recitals and performances to proms and friend’s weddings. But at the time, I was just a passionate amateur artist. I needed the education to take me further.
After I graduated college, I put myself through makeup school and became certified through the renowned and accredited school, Makeup Designory in Los Angeles, California. It was an incredibly invaluable learning experience. Many makeup artists are not professionally trained, but for me, it put the cherry on top of my deep love and passion for makeup.
I've worked on-set of photo shoots, TV/Film and commercial productions but my specialty has been working with brides. The 'glitz and glam’ of beautifying a bride on her wedding day is like red-carpet yumminess to me. Nothing compares to a glowing bride.
I can definitely say that makeup led me to the skin care industry. Prior to becoming an esthetician, brides would often ask me about skin care; I always answered with my honest 'opinion' but again, I needed more education to provide the facts (and eventually provide the services). I then became a licensed esthetician in the State of Arizona and eventually Texas. Now, I offer several beauty services: makeup, airbrush spray tanning, waxing, eyelash extensions and makeup lessons.
I am so blessed to get to do what I love everyday.
